Laptops with AMD processors seem to be less expensive than ones having Intel processors, so just wondering why the difference? What has been your experience with a laptop with AMD processors? I am planning to buy a laptop and the best deal I found was with AMD processor. Appreciate your opinion. Thanks.

I'm looking to buy a laptop in a few weeks and would like to be able to compare AMD and Intel processors. AMD appears to be cheaper but isn't Intel better?

I am scoping out computers as part of my studio business plan. I have been told recently that if I am not going for a mac then try an AMD processor. The sales guy even demonstrated processing efficiency in the shop by getting two "same speed rating" intel and amd equipped computers to shut down at same time. The amd one seemed fasted even though (i was told) it was the same speed rating as the intel on. What is it about amd chips that would make them better for creative work such as audio processing and recording?

I can see clearly that in matter of months I will switch to Intel processors because AMD is just struggling a lot and not being able to invent anything to challenge Intel. The fastest AMD processor is 3 times slower then the fastest Intel processor. Asus it’s making gaming rigs almost exclusively with Intel CPU’s. Could anyone convince me not to opt for Intel?
